Cherished Companions Founder Featured on Senior Moments Podcast, Cherished CompanionsAt Cherished Companions, our top priority is delivering quality, compassionate care for each one of our clients. Last month, our founder and CEO, Douglas Wilber, had the opportunity to share that vision on New Cleveland Radio during the Senior Moments Podcast. In this local podcast, hosts Bradley and Heather Greene shine the spotlight on senior care in the Cleveland area and regularly interview leaders in the industry who are making a difference through their organizations.

Making a Difference For Seniors in Ohio

The podcast delves into Doug’s inspiration for starting Cherished Companions and what makes this company so different. Growing up in a family that included four generations of doctors, and later working in the healthcare division of Procter & Gamble, Doug gained a unique perspective on care. Based on his mother’s advice to be a professional in whatever career he chose, Doug pursued excellence and integrity in creating a home care company that would make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Doug’s vision for Cherished Companions was to create a unique business model that took the approach of a good doctor’s practice: focused on providing excellent care first. As the Baby Boomer generation is growing older, the need for senior care is rising. Doug realized that families will need customized care in the home that can meet a variety of needs, from companionship and light housekeeping to Alzheimer’s and dementia care.

“I’m so grateful to be given the opportunity to share my passion for quality, compassionate senior care on the Senior Moments podcast,” said Doug. “It was an exciting opportunity to talk about how we can make a real, tangible difference in the lives of families and seniors in this community.”
